2. What is the difference between hot-dip galvanized and electro-galvanized scaffolding pipes?

Hot-dip galvanizing (HDG): Zinc coating 400-600g/m² (ISO 1461), penetrates into the steel surface, 20+ year service life in outdoor environments. Ideal for construction scaffolding and long-term installations.

Electro-galvanized (EG): Zinc coating 60-120g/m², smoother surface finish, lower cost. Suitable for indoor use or short-term projects.

We recommend hot-dip galvanized for most scaffolding applications due to superior corrosion resistance and longer maintenance-free service life.

3. What are the loading capacity and safety factors for scaffolding pipes?

For 48.3mm x 3.2mm scaffolding pipe: Maximum working load: 1.5-2.0 tons per leg (depending on height and configuration). Safety factor: 4:1 minimum per international standards. Buckling strength: 25-30 kN depending on unsupported length.

Available surface treatments:
